My name is Marilyn Santos. I am 26 years old. Let me go a bit back in time so you better understand my story. My dad runs a boutique hotel in Quezon. From May to September, I used to help him over there. During the low season, for several years I did a cashier job. Recently, a girlfriend motivated me to take a job in a call centre. It was close to my house, the pay was the same and I agreed.

My first working day in the call centre

Throughout the training I had only one though in my head, ‘I'll have to lie to people!’ But ... I couldn’t just leave. I would have played a bad joke to my friend who recommended me.

So, I started ‘plugging’ these pills to people and I hated myself for that. With such an attitude the result was predictable - I sold none.

My boss was unhappy with me

The second day was very similar to the first. No sales as I was not really trying to make people buy this product. I managed to sell just one. The guy was weird - he just wanted to buy it. I hardly had time to say hello to him. It was strange, but I did not attach any importance to this. Some people are really strange.

The third day in the morning my boss invited me into her office.

She was rather short: "Marilyn, as I can see, you have almost no sales, I listened to the recording of your speech. It seems as if you were trying to dissuade people from buying, even if they are likely to buy. Tell me why?"

I told her about my sad experience of treatment of my own joints with ointments and creams. And added that I don’t feel like ‘flogging’ such rubbish!

She told me, ‘All that we say is nothing but the truth. But I understand your point. I found it hard to believe myself from the start ...’

All of a sudden she stopped, looked at me, drumming the tips of her scarlet finger nails on the table. Then she continued:

"Okay. I understand you have just started, and I will not ask you the impossible. But the next three days please try to do at least half of a regular sales plan. Otherwise we will have to decide whether we can keep you with us.’

My “enlightenment"

I returned to my desk feeling horrible. The fact that the boss insisted on the effectiveness of the pills and threatened me with dismissal were very frustrating. I had no idea how to fulfil the sales plan!

But 15 minutes later, I gathered my thoughts and finally picked up the phone again. I dialled the number of a man who left his phone number for a call back. From the very first minute, the man said that Osteoflex was his salvation! He suffered from arthritis for 3 years, and with these pills he managed to quickly and easily restore his joints! He wanted to order the whole course for his mother. I registered his order, and the man sincerely thanked me!

This conversation was so surprising as opposed to how frustrated I was after the conversation with my boss. He was so excited about this product. What is so good about it?

I could not believe what I heard. Was I so wrong? Maybe Osteoflex really helps people? Then I definitely deserved the boss’ warning! Two weeks after I started my work in the call centre, I was calling the customers as usual.

Suddenly a colleague told me: "Marilyn, a certain Mr Tamayo requested a call back. Is he family? I was about to ring him ... But you can call him, if you like! "

She handed the head-set to me. I was curious and agreed to take this call! I heard a man's voice say, ‘Hello’. I was supposed to say hello to the customer, but I didn’t even know his name. I said, ‘Hello, I'm calling about the request you made in the online store. Is it a right time to confirm the details of you order?’

I heard the voice of a very dear person: "What, Marilyn girl? Is that you? What are you talking about? Are you okay? Your number came up as unknown’. I was speechless, ‘Oh, daddy !?’

It turned out dad orders Osteoflex for the second time! He was very happy to hear I found a good job. We laughed together about me being stupid and so negative about this product, and that I nearly lost the job.

Though dad approved my attitude towards these pills. He said that money was one thing, but no one should lie for money. This is when I heard such a pride in his voice, which I never heard before!
