All about the treatment of hypertension: interview with a cardiologist
Hypertension is one of the most common cardiovascular diseases.
17,5 million17,5 million people die each year from cardiovascular disease. |
85%more than 85% of deaths are due to heart attacks and strokes caused by hypertension. |
95%95% of premature heart attacks and strokes can be prevented. |
Why do glasses wear out? How does the heart react to negative experiences? How to diagnose cardiovascular problems? Why does hypertension appear in young people and how to treat it? We talked about this and much more with a cardiologist with 30 years of experience, MD Johnson Shalewa.
- Hello, Doctor. What is the average age of people with high blood pressure today?
- Good day. Every year, that number becomes smaller. Five years ago, the average age was around 40-45 years, today it’s 35
- How come?
- In our time hypertension is called "the disease of the modern lifestyle". This is due to key factors that contribute to increased pressure: low physical activity, excess body weight, excessive consumption of salt.
- Why do the chances of developing hypertension increase with age?
- It’s linked to a person’s blood vessel walls aging and wearing out over time. The arteries become stiffer, which makes it harder for the muscles of the heart to relax. Chronic hypertension deforms the thin wall of the cerebral vessels. As a result, it becomes so thin that it tears or warps and thickens, reducing the lumen of the glass.
- Why is increased blood pressure dangerous?
- The increased pressure causes myocardial hypertrophy of the left ventricle that leads to heart failure. Atherosclerotic plaques form in the vessels, which can lead to a myocardial infarction or a stroke. In addition, the increase in BP means that all organs - the brain, heart, kidneys and arteries - are affected.
- Aren’t strokes and heart attacks not dangerous for young people?
That’s actually a myth. Heart attacks and strokes threaten everyone and can occur at any age (although, of course, the older the person is the more likely one can happen). Also, middle-aged men (40-50 years) die of stroke one and a half times more often than women. And some varieties of stroke occur more often with young men (25-35 years old) following a sharp rise in blood pressure.
-In addition to the increase in BP, are there any other signs that signal the development of the disease?
- There are five signs that people don’t usually link to hypertension:
- morning headaches;
- dizziness;
- tinnitus;
- seeing bright spots;
- nosebleeds.
- Is it true that stress causes serious damage (a sharp increase in pressure)?
- The stroke can be triggered not just by stress but also by excessive mental tension, an overdose on alcohol or drugs. If you have a severe headache or nausea and your skin is covered in red spots, call an ambulance. Otherwise, you may end up with cerebral edema or a stroke.
- Can hypertension be cured?
- Hypertension, like any other disease, is easier to treat at its initial stage. People whose family members have suffered from heart disease are at a greater risk of developing this disease; In most cases, hypertension becomes a hereditary disease. Modern therapy includes drugs that, unlike outdated drugs, do not disrupt the metabolism of carbohydrates, lipids and purines, do not trap fluid in the body, do not depress the activity of the central nervous system.
- But aren’t they very expensive?
- Most of today's anti-hypertension drugs are, on average, 80% more expensive than their predecessors. In my practice, I use a low-cost and very effective natural called Normatone . The most important thing to say about this drug –it’s designed to be taken as a course, not your entire life.
- How does Normatone help deal with hypertension?
- The composition of Normatone includes natural B blockers and inhibitors that improve heart function and prevent too much blood from being sent into the vessels. Since excess blood supply combined with a decrease in vessel tone causes an increase in pressure.
- How does the drug work?
- After ingesting Normatone , the patient can be sure that no pressure spikes await them in the evening and morning.The drug relieves the load on the heart muscle and improves blood circulation, which makes it possible to reduce the likelihood of strokes, which, like myocardial infarctions, occur more often in the early morning. Nighttime blood pressure is lowered by approximately 10% and the body responds by releasing catecholamine hormones that help maintain pressure levels. Normatone not only lowers the pressure, but also has an effect on clogged vessels, cleaning and expanding them. Vascular contamination with cholesterol is the main cause of hypertension.
- Is Normatone prescribed differently to different age groups and does it have any special admission conditions?
- No. Age doesn’t matter. Usually therapy for hypertension is prescribed individually. Before starting the treatment, the patient is examined for any changes in the heart, kidneys, and adrenal glands. For a more accurate reading, the BP is measured in both hands. Hypertension is often accompanied by disorders of the gastrointestinal tract, coronary heart disease, atherosclerosis. One important thing that makes Normatone stand out is that it does not affect the work of the internal organs. Its only contraindication is individual intolerance to the components.
- How soon does the patient feel better with Normatone ?
- One course lasts 28 days. Of course, the result depends on how advanced the hypertension is, but the average period before noticeable improvement is 3-7 days.The pressure will drop and becuase of that the migraines, dizziness, tinnitus, weather sensitivity and insomnia will begin to go away.
- So what you’re saying Normatone doesn’t just reduce blood pressure?
- It works holistically:
- improves blood circulation and tone;
- cleanses the vessels of cholesterol plaques;
- improves cardiovascular health;
- prevents the development of atherosclerosis.
- Thank you so much for this interview. My final question is this: where can we buy Normatone ?
- Glad to have been here. I advise my patients to buy Normatone straight from the manufacturer's website. This will protect you from buying counterfeits and give you the opportunity to get the drug at a bargain price.
